Yosemite and Death Valley
In October last year (2024) we traveled to California to see some friends and relatives. We also used the occasion to revisit 2 of my favorite National Parks: Yosemite and Death Valley. Cathy and I visited Yosemite earlier in 1995 and 2013.
In the years 1968-1969 I was living in the United States, with my parents and brother and sister. In June, 1968 we made a camping trip to Yosemite. This was before I got my first camera so I am showing some home movies and pictures that were taken by my parents. We went to Death Valley (then still a National Monument) in February the following year. By that time my parent had bought an old Ford pickup truck and Open Road camper. I took some of my first pictures on that trip! See here for pictures of Yosemite and here for the recent trip to Death Valley.

Below are some pictures of our 1995 trip to Yosemite. It was June, and the waterfalls were in full force. The Glacier Point Road and Tioga Pass were still closed. We hiked the Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point and had the view to ourselves. We also hiked to the top of Vernal Fall and Yosemite Falls.
